Mountains of Amotae  (Full Day)

The Amotape’s Mountains National Park covers a surface of 91,300 hectares which are protected, and in which tigrillos find refuge, as well as monkeys, deer, sajinos, ant eating bears, white-necked squirrels and red-headed parakeets, among many other species. It is a magnificent destination to do adventure tourism and eco-tourism, exploration, hikes or ride on horseback, on steep hills, in gorges, across streams and crossing the river, in direct contact with nature. Without any doubt, it is a fascinating and unforgettable place, and all of this is complemented by the visit of Rica Playa’s Archaeological Zone and a delicious typical Creole unch.

PROGRAM

DAY 01          Tumbes / Rica Playa / Hike to Bocana Carrillo

• Departure from your hotel, on a tourist transportation bound to the Amotape’s Mountains
• Tour of Rica Playa’s Archaeological Zone
• Ascension to the natural vantage point and panoramic view over the park
• Hike towards the forest, with observation of the dry forest’s typical flora and fauna
• Recreation in the River’s waters
• Typical Creole lunch
• Return to Tumbes.
