Machu Picchu on Motorcycles (02 Days / 01 Night)

This is more than an unforgettable experience: Go from Cusco to Machu Picchu , on a motorcycle.

Had you ever thought of it? Now, you can do it, on the new Cusco / Quillabamba asphalted road, passing by the Sacred Valley’s villages, the Málaga Mountain Pass (4,350 m.a.s.l.), the highest point on the way, going by Santa María, to get to Santa Teresa, on a short stretch of road, to the Intiwatana train station and from there, by train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), for just 10 kilometers.

But, before that, you will have enjoyed Santa Teresa´s delights, in Cocalmayo´s Thermo-medicinal Baths and a “monkey tail” canopy adventure.

PROGRAM

DAY 01           Cusco / Santa María / Santa Teresa / Aguas Calientes

• Breakfast at your hotel
• 5:30 a.m.: Departure on our motorcycles, from the city of Cusco, towards the locality of Santa Teresa, on the Sacred Valley’s road, riding up to the Málaga Mountain Pass ( 4,350 m .a.s.l.) and down to the subtropical jungle of the La Convención Valley , on stretches of asphalted and compacted dirt road, in good conditions
• 10:00 a.m.: Arrival in Santa Teresa ( 1,645 m .a.s.l.)
• “Monkey tail” canopy adventure, with full adrenaline, gliding through the air, between mountains, above valleys and rivers (Optional and on your own account)
• Recreation at Cocalmayo´s Thermo-medicinal Baths, in a natural paradise
• Lunch on your own account
• 3:30 p.m.: Transfer to the Hidroeléctrica (Intiwatana) train station, on Km. 122 of the railway, to take the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calentes)
• 5:30 p.m.: Arrival in the village of Machu Picchu and accommodation at a hotel
• Dinner on your own account
• Discotheque (Optional and on your own account)
• Hotel night in Machu Picchu Pueblo.

DAY 02           Excursion to the Incan City of Machu Picchu / Train to Santa Teresa / Return to Cusco on motorcycles

• Breakfast at your hotel
• 6:30 a.m.: Uphill tourist bus ride to the Incan City of Machu Picchu, Wonder of the Modern World, located among abrupt mountains and almost inaccessible places, presenting a set of houses, squares, stairways, towers, walls, water fountains, ceremonial places, such as the Intiwatana (Solar observatory), sacred temples and benched terraces, with an incredible urban harmony, displaying the Incan engineering’s high level of development.
• 11:00 a.m.: Downhill tourist bus ride to Aguas Calientes
• 12:00 noon: Return train from Machu Picchu Pueblo to the Hidroeléctrica (Intiwatana) train station
• Transfer from the train station to the locality of Santa Teresa ( 1,645 m .a.s.l.)
• Lunch on your own account
• 3:00 p.m.: Return on motorcycles to the city of Cusco
• 7:30 p.m.: Arrival in the city of Cusco and transfer to your hotel.
